I am at Princeton Medical center for a 72 hr EEG. it's not painful, just uncomfortable, with 28 electrodes hooked up to my head.

I gave them my diet restrictions (Thanks Pam) as "high protein, low fat, 2gm restricted sugar diet".

They sent me Cream of Tomato Soup and canned pears. I am too fearful to eat them.  I had brought a protein bar, so i had that, and the nasty meatloaf they brought me....

starting at dinner, i get to pick my meal...so that should work out better.

I think being here will spur on some more weight loss though.

Ugh - don't count on it, Steve.  Be as specific as you can and call the Head Dietician if you have to.  I recall being diabetic and being sent sugar galore; when I specified Diabetic, they doubled every carb serving I asked for...like, cereal, banana and English muffin at breakfast!  Huh?

Good luck!

Glad you brought the protein bar...did you bring anything else?

Hope there are better selections for dinner....but just because it sounds better doesn't mean it will BE better, lol

The Mrs. pulled through. She brought some Smart food popcorn as a snack. Bottled Water, since I am not getting enough with that lousy 6 oz cup....
Sushi, Chinese Food, Packages of tuna, and some other stuff.....that I can't recall

Don't hesitate to call their dieticians and complain! My sister (who has all sorts of strange food allergies -- no wheat, no dairy, no nuts, no peanuts, no eggs) was in Princeton Hospital and they were very accomodating and made sure she had what she needed, and she of course was not shy about demanding what she needed.

I would offer to stop by with some food since I'm in the area but I just had surgery on my foot on Wednesday (also at Princeton Hospital) and I'm on crutches, so I'm not too helpful right now.  I hope the food situation improves.

Good luck with the tests - steer clear of the tomato soup - I still dump on that so I guess its something I'll never be able to eat again. And most canned fruit is loaded with sugar, even the so-called 'lite' ones. Glad the Mrs came through and brought you food.
